Joan Collins?

geekgirl · 26/09/2008 11:55

goodness

it makes even the mannequin look fat.

Winebeforepearls · 26/09/2008 11:59

Good rule of thumb: do not buy if the model looks fat in it. I have succumbed to the chic jumper and am now rargh because dd3 kicks me in the chest while I'm changing her and it has pilled

snowleopard · 26/09/2008 11:59

lordy You might as well just wear a big sign round your neck saying "boden drone"

Horrendous, all of them.

MrsJohnCusack · 26/09/2008 12:03

OMG at the first one
OMG

Cloudhopper · 26/09/2008 12:03

lol at that dress. how could they have made it look less flattering????

hideous, even if you haven't got a figure that gets smaller from the waist outwards.

snowleopard · 26/09/2008 12:04

Dis-a-POINT-ed! by the long cardies. I was hoping to replace my taty one from 3 years ago, but there isn't one that's long enough and warm enough, and shite colours. Will have to darn

ledodgy · 26/09/2008 12:05

Lol have just read the text that goes with hideous dress
'The search is over for the party dress which is both incredibly chic and ridiculously comfortable.'
Nahh Johnny I don't think the search is over just yet!

MrsJohnCusack · 26/09/2008 12:05

yes you might as well just wear Johnny on your feet

snowleopard · 26/09/2008 12:07

In fact it should be: "The search is over for the party dress to wear when you are 8 months pg from the knees up, or have just swallowed a barrel."

MrsJohnCusack · 26/09/2008 12:09

or Johnnie even

ha, cod's second link has this to say 'An easy, new style with matt sequins which add a modulated metallic glimmer to the mood of the evening'

even by Boden standards that is some top flim-flammery

JackieNo · 26/09/2008 12:13

Oh blimey - that first one is completely fugly. But I have to say I rather like the shape of SnowLeopard's 'Boden drone' one - prob v flattering. Monsoon do several like that every season - really good flattering shape.

fullmoonfiend · 26/09/2008 12:14

jeez that first link is grim!

JackieNo · 26/09/2008 12:15

Boden drone, or Monsoon - you decide.

DoubleBluff · 26/09/2008 12:17

I like the monsson dres, I have one similar in balck is very flattering

snowleopard · 26/09/2008 12:20

Shape is OK so Boden Drone one would probably look lovely in black. It was the "BOOOOOODDEEEENNNN!!!" print that did my head in.

Straigh dressses make me look like a scak of spuds.
Flaring otu from the wiast is good for mee!

tonton · 26/09/2008 12:31

I also vote for straight dresses. More audrey hepburn, less Boden

Pushpinia · 26/09/2008 12:33

i like the brown thing (first link) but I will not buy their scoop necks ever because they are too short at the waist.

NomDePlume · 26/09/2008 12:34

The shit brown sack is revolting.

I'm going to Ascot tomorrow on a corporate junket and am having a wardrobe freaaaaaaaaaaaaak out.

I have bought a few boden things this year. I love the long wool henley jumper (in grey). It looks fab with the unbiquitous skinny jeans and boots.

NomDePlume · 26/09/2008 12:34

Unbiquitous ?!

Ubiquitous.
