Sadly not for me but for my lovely next door neighbour who babysits the kids for me - she needs one to go with a plain black skirt for a wedding next weekend and has looked everywhere - I said I would find her one knowing that some clever person on here would be able to hunt one out!

Has to be outerwear and not underwear as she has huge norks and will need to wear a proper bra underneath it!

Ta - feel bad as she got DS from school and he doesn't want to come home - hence the favour!

why does she want to wear a basque for a wedding? surely that is highly inappropriate? instead of saying you would find one forher, perhaps you should have advised her that a blouse might be more suitable?

No she has a big flary skirt and wants like a no strap kinda thing - not an underwear basque - like a strapless Coast dress or skirt and top kinda thing.

why is it inappropriate? i'd have thought it was obvious that wearing something designed to show off ones breasts, with no shoulder , back or decolletage coverage might not be ideal.

OK, I'm really worried now. Have in the past worn a black corset (proper corset not basque-y thing) with a white skirt to go to a wedding and other functions. I'm sure my mum would never have let me out in anything which even suggested slag!!! I thought it was quite elegant?
If i work out how to put a photo on my profile, can you sit in judgement and either put my mind at rest or prevent me from ever making the same mistake again???

Oh I've just realised, it was an evening do, there's no way i'd have worn it in church wihtout a cover for my shoulders. Didn't even get married myself in sleeveless. I retract my worry.

I'd offer to lend btw, but if she's blessed of nork, then there's no way it will be of any use to her at all [nork envy]
