Have boots (slouchy suede ones) which are fab. In summer I would usually wear indian slipper style things, with bare feet. Problem is wearing similar now I get all mucky feet and wearing socks with them would just look silly.

So need comfy flat shoes, that cover my feet properly, but Im trying not to look too frumpyish so steering clear of trainer style.

Can it be done?

look on the kurt geiger website..they have converse type trainers but in leather and all sorts of cool finishes.

No no no, doesn't matter if they're leather fake converse are fake converse - only the real thing will do.
