It was boiling here today. I was considering going to the beach tommorow, then I remembered it's a 3 hr drive.

i put an electric space heater on in the girls' room just the now so i can get them dressed after their bath without their skin turning blue.

I would wear trousers/jeans with shoes like Campers and a nice top with cardi. It is not going to be cold enough to need more than that I reckon. Maybe take scarf in case.

It was baking in the east too and set to last all weekend here.

there was a girl at yoga the other day who wore a pair of shorts that were so tiny I thought they were a sweatband

In fact some kids are coming out of school in thick tights and a coat and others in flip flops. Then there's the mothers.

wear a vest

then you can take it off and leave it round the pipes in a coffee shop loo

used to have a friend at uni who would do this if it was too hot; no-one ever nicked it (bizarrely )

what you said sounds perfect.

I have had to wear a flaming ski jacket the last few days in the mornings even having to go to primark to get an emergency T shirt yesterday (ds's school is in the middle of the forest) and by 11 I was roasting.

Today was perfect. I had long sleeved stretch cotton T shirt, dark jeans, ballet shoes, knitted draped sleeveless cardi and a pashmina and I was very comfy and not hot by 2pm- although having read that back not very stylish either

Mmm, nice layer of dust mixed in with bit of sprayed urine and maybe a fleck of rotavirus. You wouldn't take it would you.
