dress code for christening

hi all, we've been invited to a christening this sunday- one of my colleagues from work, with whom i am friendly but i rarely socialise outside the office. i am not british so have no idea what we are all supposed to wear! in my country it would be a very dressy affair (dh in a suit and tie, and me and the girls in pretty frocks), what is the norm in ENgland?

also, i got the gift when i was back home and it is a silver-plated photo frame with teddy bears designs (it is nice i promise), which would be a typical and actually quite nice present for the occasion- do you reckon it's ok?

many thanks!

all sounds good.
suit and a pretty frock good for a christening. certainly a collar and tie.

Yes - think posh going to church outfit, though generally not as posh as a wedding outfit.
