I need a couple of dresses in my wardrobe, I currently have none. If you see something similar but it's not a wrap post it anyway - I won't mind.

My birthday is coming up so this is what I will ask DP for!

SammyK · 13/09/2008 17:15

DVF way out of my budget sadly - they are gorgeous too!

I have to go out, but will be back later and will chek back in.

I can't do links (must try harder!)...There is a nice purple one on the Oasis site, also available in black, for £50.00 (slightly cheaper than DVF!).

Soapbox · 13/09/2008 17:23

If you are on the small side TK Maxx has a good selection of DVF dresses in at the moment - in sizes 4,6,8 mainly (but I suspect that these are US sizes - so will be 6,8,10/12 in UK sizes).

They were £99.

Sorry I can't do links either. Bought a lovely dress in White Stuff yesterday - not a wrap, but I think they widen the tum anyway. This is dark grey with a lighter grey leaf pattern, and a tie under the boobs to the back ( am I making sense?). Drapey skirt, looks fab with a lacy vest peeking through and boots. About £60.

BustyMcGee · 13/09/2008 20:14

boden or oli love the red spotted one on oli

katch · 13/09/2008 20:33

The oli one is lovely but please no if you've got boobs.

What size are you? I have a plain black wrap dress that I bought when feeling optimistic about losing baby weight after ds2. Its only a tesco TU one in plain black long sleeves below the knee on me (5'2").
I think its a 14 but might be a not very generous size 16 more like a 14 if you want decent 'wrapping' iyswim.

I've never worn it, just tried it on from time to time, just long enough to get depressed about my baby belly

You may not be a TU clothes kinda gal, in which case I won't be offended if you don't email me on legoates @ tiscali co. uk!

Flibbertyjibbet - maybe it's not your 'baby belly', maybe it's the fact wrap dresses double the expanse thereof.

Flibbertyjibbet · 13/09/2008 20:59

Er, well the combination of my baby belly and a wrap dress sort of QUADRUPLES the expanse in my case

dexter73 · 13/09/2008 21:12

I like this dress from Fat Face. White Stuff also have some nice dresses here.

Try Phase Eight - they have lots of wrap dresses here here this one spotty swirly

Some of the prints are a bit busy if that's not your thing, but the material is lovely and they drape really nicely.

mylittlemonsters · 15/09/2008 18:01

These look great really like the FF one

JRocks · 15/09/2008 18:12

I bought a really nice one from H&M at the weekend for £14.99 - full price! It's really quite nice too. I'll see if I can find a picture..

Also have a faux wrap style dress from M&S - but can't find it on their website. It's aubergine coloured and was about £30

JRocks · 15/09/2008 18:13

really nice twice?
