I'm having a haircut in about half hour. At present it looks like a dead cat on my head - it always looks like a dead cat!!! It's naturally red (NOT ginger), rapidly going grey round the ears, approx 4/5 inches long all over, thick, wayward, straight-ish and I HATE IT and always say "OH just a trim will do". Does anyone have any ideas for me?

don't know much about thick hair [think straight and stringy for me!] but i do love mary portas haircut from 'mary queen of shops' so chic and lovely. what about that one? oh and if going grey, go for highlights for sure....

good luck

Agree, a short sleek little bob might be the thing for you. Put a fringe in if you don't have one.

Thanks! I've done bobs & like them a lot. Not sure if the hair round my ears is long enough at the mo - I really like VBeckham's crop, but I'm much too old and last saw my cheekbones in about 1975.
