I feel I need an update now I'm going back to work in London and wondered about something like a bobbie brown make up lesson.

Anybody had an experience or recommend any others they've used and thought good/good value?

I've heard good things about the Bobbie Brown ones, from friends who have been. Not tried it myself, sorry.

bumping...?

Sorry this is not much help - I really fancied this too + found a website where they will send a professional m/up person to your house. Was v expensive tho + I didn't do it. Other than that I think Aveda do lessons which are much more reasonably priced. I've also found the assistants at Space NK really good and will virtually give you a lesson: I never wear eyeshadow but they showed me some very subtle Laura Mercier stuff and how to apply it and I've been v pleased with the results. Ditto foundation and lipstick.

I've used Bobbi Brown. They are great and FREE. They will then give you the option of a makeover each season when they launch their new colours. I did buy from them but there was no obligation and no hard sell.

Christian Dior is currently doing a backstage Make up promotion. They will do your make up for you and show you how to apply etc.. plus you get an overview (on paper) what to put where. All free

ooh christain dior are too frightening for me!

where did you do the bobbie brown one?

Bobbi Brown are in John Lewis/ House of frazer etc. You sit behind the counter so they can serve customers if they appear. it's very wearable so you don't walk away feeling self concious or looking like an oompa lumpa!

I had a mac one and it was very good, I also used to buy a lot of benefit stuff so once a month would have a lesson and buy a few things.
