Duo Boots -Are they worth it?

Seasider · 10/09/2008 14:31

Am seriously considering getting a pair of flat black boots from them upon which to revolve my winter wardrobe! No heels for me as I would go splat.

Anyone any good (or bad things) to tell me?

Yes, I have a pair of the lisbon ones. They are flat and I love them.

CafeConLecheGalore · 10/09/2008 14:35

link? never heard of them

Seasider · 10/09/2008 14:37

I have a pair and I love them. They fit so well and I have got loads of wear out of them. I have large calves and my only other option is Evans and Duo are far superior to them.

Piffle · 10/09/2008 14:38

fab esp for me as I have v skinny calves and take their smallest width.
The Ravenna are fabulous imho

I have a pair as I could never get boots to fit over my chubby calves. They are great and incredibly comfy. If you are between calf sizes I would recommend going down instead of up as the sizing is quite generous. You can always send them back if they cut off the circulation!

WilfSell · 10/09/2008 14:45

Yes. I have two pairs and would buy more if I could afford them. Can never find normal boots to fit my huge calves.

MimieD · 10/09/2008 14:45

Those red Jesolo ones are to die for....

ChupitosGalore · 10/09/2008 14:57

oh i dont know
am in boot quandry atm

want:
new uggs for comfort, but cant decide what kind... prob black half size ones again, but is it dull to buy same again?

work/safety/rigger/builders boots. in brown. pull on, chunky, waterproof, sheepskin lined... mmmm

soem nice flattish smooth black leather boots for looking vaguely smart in.

and this is what im wasting time fretting about?? seriously.... [sends off order form for A Life]

Seasider · 10/09/2008 14:59

No, get the boots right and the winter wardrobe is a breeze IMO.

Seasider · 10/09/2008 15:03

Not sure if hte link will work, I have these ones but I think they may be discontinued.

girlsnextdoor · 10/09/2008 16:26

They don't do Lisbon any more- but they may have some as sale stock.

Seasider · 10/09/2008 16:38

Have just ordered some Macerata, am hoping they are lovely as they are rather a whopping price. Will report back...

I'm 39cm calf too

ChupitosGalore · 11/09/2008 11:30

i am skinny calved. (not skinny thighed, before you think im bragging coz i aint) and tall boots rarely fit well and often look bloody stoopid on me.

PussinWellies · 11/09/2008 11:44

Ah shucks. I thought you'd all solved my shoe-buying problem there, but my feet measure up as under size 4 in length, wider than EEE, but with skinny calves.

morfandassou · 17/10/2008 08:09

You should try www.hennyjames.co.uk as they have a great selection much cheaper than Duo and really good quality. I have brought a pair off them every year they are really helpful in finding your size as well.
