I think everybody looks a bit too eighties these days; and I am an eighties girl myself!

Re: length - erm, I don't know. I suppose it depends how much actual leg it shows; if it's quite lose fitting it would be okay maybe but if tight fitting, I'd say no I think. Also - how comfortable would you feel, or would you want to keep hoisting it down?

Oh, I thought "not with opaques" meant that the dress wouldn't look too short if worn with opaques.

Consumer PR/marketing people can be a bit fluffy and girly, so definitely not too severe.

and good shoes are a must....
