I need some nice knee length black boots to wear with dresses, denim skirt etc and don't know what to buy. Want to look fashionable and pretty but not a fashion victim. Am 39 and need flat ones for park and school run etc.
What do you think of riding boots? Seen any nice ones?

Are these nice or frumpy?

good links to blk ones here here

Megglevache · 07/09/2008 23:21

I love the riding boots you linked too. they could be worn with everything, except maybe a bikini,

platypussy · 07/09/2008 23:23

MB - I am looking for something similar. But my legs seem to be rather long from the ankle to knee and calf length boots look too short on me. Would really like longer boots - almost to knee but can never find any.

mabanana · 07/09/2008 23:27

Thanks M - the Frye ones are nice and so are teh Duo ones ton that thread. Different sort of look. Hmm. NOt sure what I really need. Think these might be too girly for a denim skirt?

Platypussy, what shoe size are you? have you tried Long Tall Sally? They have got the most beautiful riding boots in there, they come in black, brown or tan, there was a thread a while back about them. Then one by me moaning because they only do from size seven up and I am a six. Gorgeous though. Am off to bed so can't do a link but they are called Lela.

platypussy · 07/09/2008 23:32

U2b - I am a size 5. Thanks for the info - will look Long tall sally up.

platypussy · 07/09/2008 23:33

Oh sorry - just saw that they only do a 7 upwards! Will keep looking then!

used2bthin · 07/09/2008 23:34

Probably no good for you either then, shame. I love them so much I am thinking of getting insoles to try and pad my feet out a bit!

JanieF · 10/09/2008 05:55

I posted these on another boot thread here. They are the flat boots I most desire this season. I think the dark grey is a nice change from black and works just as well with my wardrobe.

macherie · 10/09/2008 16:53

I got these in black patent, they are so comfy and they look fantastic.

macherie · 10/09/2008 16:55

Would have been useful if I'd added the link

expatinscotland · 10/09/2008 16:57

i yearn for these/
