I would like to join the funky welly brigade but fear my feet are too big.

I live in wellies. Do school run in them, shop in them etc... My faithful green hunters have had it, the soles are worn through and now leak.

My feet are big, size 10 so I always buy mens boots but I would like some floral ones.

I like these but will they look daft on size 10 feet at the end of long, skinny(ish) legs?

i have always liked the idea of decorative wellies, but i think in practice they don't look too good. i have pretty big feet too (size 8) and would probably go for a single colour. topshop had some dark purple and black ones... sorry, you prob don't want to hear that.

ahundredtimes · 05/09/2008 13:12

I tend to think they look a bit daft anyway, whatever the size feet. So no, I don't think they'll look any more daft because you have big feet (my, they are quite big aren't they?) and long legs.

mehgalegs · 05/09/2008 13:15

They are big but in proportion to the rest of me.

Perhaps I'll just get some aubergine hunters.

I have looked at them with new eyes and realise they are the sort of thing a 5 year old would wear.

joules have more grown up but un-boring wellies

ahundredtimes · 05/09/2008 13:22

[swoon] at your tall, long loveliness.

Now aubergine hunter's sound altogether better. I think bright floral pink best left well alone to be honest.

Or those Joules ones, perhaps, maybe. I am wary of 'fun' items for grown-ups.

But I am un-fun, I fear.

mehgalegs · 05/09/2008 13:36

But I'm bored of green

Love the Joules ones but they only go up to an 8.

Aubergine, or Chocolate?

Aubergine.

Where are you buying them from? I need welly boots. Can you get them in blue?

mehgalegs · 05/09/2008 13:37

Whilst camping I tried to perfect my Kate Moss at Glasto look with a welly/shorts combo. I just got really sore legs. (And am nowt like Kate Moss)

Yes lots of colours here

What's all this about Huntress then? Designed for the variety in a ladies leg?

Which will you get?

mehgalegs · 05/09/2008 17:31

Reminds me of a Blackadder sketch " Ah you have a ladies leg..." (Or summink_)

The ladies won't fit my hoofs, only go up to an 8.
