Yes
not polo necks but long sleeve crew neck T-shirts

nork-free zone here though.

Beetroot · 05/09/2008 09:59

very pinafore and yes - no good for norkers

what kind of layering under dresses are we talking?

are we talking white shirt under pinafore in which case, er, nope

I've got a perky minidress on today tho over a thermal top and jeans tho; already had compliments so don't start

I do - long sleeve thin top (not polo neck) - Gap had them last year.

Black pinafore type dress and opaque tights and boots. Have also just bought one of the M&S mahooosive bags (£15).

Think I'm wearing it on pic on profile (but you can't see a lot of it)

Anna8888 · 05/09/2008 10:32

Yes I do definitely do the layering under dresses things but certainly not with a horrid pinafore thing like that Kew link you posted

It suits me - I'm quite tall and broad shouldered - polo necks, long sleeved t-shirts, dresses under dresses all suit me really well.

I have even bought a layered winter coat.

Oh, and I finally found a rabbit fur gilet that wasn't outrageously priced - more layering...

anna more details required of both layered coat (wtf is that) and where did you find fur gilet

Beetroot · 05/09/2008 10:54

pinafores would suit you naily

Dropdeadfred · 05/09/2008 10:54

Thin top under - yes
Bulky polo neck - no

I get very very hot easily so find layering makes me ery uncomfortable unless it is freezing!!

Anna8888 · 05/09/2008 10:55

Layered coat is from MaxMara. It's a plainish sort of wool coat, single breasted, unlined with a reversible gilet with a hood that goes over the top of the coat in cold weather (wool side out) or slightly wet weather (nylon side out).

Rabbit fur gilet is from IKKS (are they in UK?) and only has fur on the front - the back is brown knit. This is much better than all over fur which is too bulky to be worn under the kind of semi-fitted coats I wear/like.

ChippyMinton · 05/09/2008 10:59

I don't like having sleeves different from the body, just feels wrong. Having said that this is not bad

nailpolish · 05/09/2008 11:06

anna is this it

nailpolish · 05/09/2008 11:07

Anna8888 · 05/09/2008 11:08

Yup that's the one . It's very cosy and comfortable.
