I like them both for different reasons; what about you?

one

two

Be kind!

Don't like either but 'one' is preferable

Thomcat · 04/09/2008 21:03

Hmmm well I was going to be slightly unkind about no 1 and say that it looked very thin and a bit cheap in that respect.

But then I saw no 2 and it made no 1 look utterly fab!

Heated · 04/09/2008 21:04

1, as I like the structured shape, although I would describe it more like a coat than a cardi! Make sure it doesn't 'shed'.

2, doesn't look the money from the picture, impractical colour, can't imagine it washing well.

Overmydeadbody · 04/09/2008 21:05

I like the first one, but sorry I don't like the second one, it doesn't look very smart, in fact to me it looks like some sort of night gown thrown over the top of the outfit. Maybe it is just the white?

BroccoliSpears · 04/09/2008 21:06

I quite like 1.

2 is not my cup of tea .

binkythebullet · 04/09/2008 21:09

Neither tbh.

controlfreakyagain · 04/09/2008 21:12

you can do better than both of those... gap has some v nice oversized / longline cardi / coats at the moment... about £45 and much much more stylish.

PeaMcLean · 04/09/2008 21:16

Sort of like 1 though it could be cheap looking in the flesh.

Long cardigans never look very flattering though, if you ask me.

Alambil · 04/09/2008 21:17

I can't do better; my budget won't stretch and they are unlikely to fit tbh.

Love no 1

Heated · 04/09/2008 21:34

any of these any good?

bundle · 04/09/2008 21:36

M&S had some lovely cardis when i went in this evening, for about £30 or so. not as long as those though (which are as TC pointed out hideous)

Alambil · 04/09/2008 21:42

Heated they don't go big enough

I am fat - I know that; therefore I have to shop at Simply Be if I want good quality (and they are) clothes for my budget... Evans is far too expensive for most of what I need

I'll just have to make do if they really are "hideous" - I don't care; used to people staring cos of my weight!

lewisfan, this M&S one goes up to size 22

any good?

Alambil · 04/09/2008 21:47

nope

OP posts:
bundle · 04/09/2008 21:49

sorry, didn't mean to be rude about the other one.

what size do you need?

Alambil · 04/09/2008 21:53

24 I think... not sure as it changes from shop to shop on the high street!

jimjamshaslefttheyurt · 04/09/2008 21:55

I can't see the ones you've linked to, but I like the Joe Browns ones the best on the Simply Be cardigan page..

bundle · 04/09/2008 22:08

could you go and try the M&S one or would you prefer to order online?

Pannacotta · 04/09/2008 22:15

Prefer this one also think it will be far more flattering - and comes in the size you were after too

Pannacotta · 04/09/2008 22:17

Or this one?

janeite · 04/09/2008 22:21

M&S tend to size up their clothes, so may be worth looking at even in a size 20 or 22. I'm a 12 everywhere - but a ten or sometimes even an 8 in M&S and Gap. Gap have some lovely longline cardigans in at the moment but I'm sorry, I don't know what size they go up to.

Pannacotta · 04/09/2008 22:23

I agree M&S sizes are often generous.

controlfreakyagain · 04/09/2008 22:32

i tried one on in gap today, in a large (they go up to xl) and it was HUGE. i'm a 16/18

Alambil · 04/09/2008 22:35

janeite I've been able to take 10 different items of M&S stock to a changing room of the same size and there be no less than 3 inches difference between them - I can't be bothered to filter through all the crap to be honest

I'll just stick to my guns I think and see what it looks like on
