yes and get lost all men washing hair in hairdressers - too rough.

Bobbiewickham · 04/09/2008 14:07

Men working in hairdressers bad too.

Never had a haircut I've liked off a man.

Mark Hill himself (wishes he was Michael Hutchence, sometimes on This Morning, v annoying) did my hair once and it was a bloody mess.

They just don't get lady hair.

zippitippitoes · 04/09/2008 14:08

oh i thought all hairdressers had men

i hate that head massaging business they all do now it makes me feel embarrassed

Oh, I like the feel of men doing hair. Specially beforehand when they are pouffing it up and deliberating over it. Also like them washing it.

It's just the six week aftermath I don't like.

francagoestohollywood · 04/09/2008 14:11

well said cod. I abhor men with "stylish" (they wish) hairstyles

I reckon the main reason most men go to my hairdresser's is that it's the next best thing to a lap dance.

The stylists don't wear v much!

Bobbiewickham · 04/09/2008 14:13

Not ime, franca.

I keep giving them a chance, they keep failing me.

no cod, some men are convinced they have hairstyles....

gosh bobbie, that's disappointing.

francagoestohollywood · 04/09/2008 14:18

but most cuts look rubbish after 6 weeks though... (well mine do, as I have hair that doesn't grow, it just expands)

Bobbiewickham · 04/09/2008 14:24

No, they look rubbish immediately, and stay like that till the next cut.

Every time.

Bobbiewickham · 04/09/2008 14:24

LOL at "Men should be encouraged to be comfy in lingerie" !

It can chafe, bless them.

MadamAnt · 04/09/2008 14:25

zippi - ITA re: the head massage thing. Esp when they ask if you're enjoying it. I feel obliged to answer in a very brusque and business-like tone. "Yes, that's fine thank you very much". Otherwise it just sounds like sex chat.

Although I did have a surprising experience with a very umpromising looking teenage boy. I was expecting to be prodded roughly by Nintendo-calloused hands, but my goodness he really knew how to give a good head-fingering.

I tipped him well, and felt...dirty.

Pan · 04/09/2008 14:32

I like the head massage/ washing thing as well!! and lol at the lap dance thing...

cod just needs to leave her cave, is all.

so because they are men they shouldn't go to a hairdressers..? .

Dh goes to toni and guy and I think its great that he takes pride in how his hair is cut. Its now a "style" unlike at the barbers where all men come out looking the same .

Tortington · 04/09/2008 14:54

the head massage is absolutley orgasmic - i could seriously flutter sat right there.

erm... ds went to a hairdresser for first time ( he is 15) he had v. long. lank, limp shoulder length hair.

DH took him. he came back looking like some poncey tramp tried to make him into vernon kaye.

which is noice on vernon kaye - but my son has an alien shaped hea - you know - like the greys so now he looks like he has a bad mullet.

anyway - whats the question.

yes cod. go to the barbers you twats

smurfgirl · 04/09/2008 14:56

My df pays £5 at the barbers and looks shit.

He gets practically scalped and he has sticky out ears and so no matter how many times he asks for it not to be so close cut on the sides she does it anyway so his ears look weird.

But its a fiver and she has a nice dog apparently so thats ok

He has asked to have it done at the hairdressers on the morning of our wedding v.pleased. Will only be professional messing up of his hair though, no poncery.

francagoestohollywood · 04/09/2008 15:00

custardo, I'm sure your teenager will grow out of the MULLET. Vernon kaye would be a decent bloke, if it wasn't for that hair

shhhh · 04/09/2008 19:18

isn't vernons now short...?
