About £100 - £150. I'm thinking maybe £75 for the jacket and £50 for the trousers??

flowerybeanbag · 04/09/2008 14:07

I have trousers. If link doesn't work properly they are the Christobelle ones.

I will wait and see if the jacket gets reduced at Christmas. Also have the violet top in the link (again if it worked).

All I need is an office to work in...

Sorry lovely lady. Am disillusioned with the world of HR.

ICod - sounds reasonable to me. Great fitting suits are hard to find IMO.

georgiemum · 04/09/2008 14:13

Wait for sales and go into somewhere like Austin Reed or Jigsaw for something plain and safe. At least that's what I used to do a million years ago...

I reckon about £130 for a jacket and £80 for trews if they are nice. Lined trews are especially comfy and worth paying more for. I got a fantastic pair in GAP for aobut £40 ever to be repeated again.

cmotdibbler · 04/09/2008 14:56

I buy a lot of suits on Ebay - often they have been worn once, and go for a fraction of their original price.

If new, I reckon on 200-250, but I like suits where there are skirts and trousers so theres several looks from one suit.

Anniemac, the Maxmara price is sadly only for the jacket, although on a quick look I couldn't see that they stocked the trousers to match but would guess about another 150-170 for those. So Hobbs et al is cheaper.

I wonder if Max Mara Studio is a replacement for Marella?

Mind you my DH buys suits from Ted Baker which cost quite a lot more, but somehow justified by the fact that he buys two a year and wears them to death.
