Apologies for blatant self-marketing - but I am looking for all the help I can get!

Thanks to lovely Mn-ers who commented on my pics at the weekend, today I WENT SHOPPING and bought a couple of tops, new jeans and a few accessories.

And a new nursing bra too

Would welcome your opinions on my new stuff. Still not convinced on some of them. Don't really know what I'm doing. Really really struggling with colour.

Tags still on (most) of the clothes (but not the jeans) so, fellow MN-ers, YOU HAVE THE POWER!!

(PS is hair better up?)

Handkerchief hems are naffo

The green top looks great with your hair.

NomDePlume · 01/09/2008 23:36

Yes Eviz, they look a bit raggedy. Always seen in M&S's Per Una range .

Jewel colours are rich, deep colours like emerald green, amethyst purple and your teal/dark turquoise top.

ack, ye don't know what I am talking about at all with yer handkerchief hems ...I give up

jewel colours - just nice deep colours - think teal, rose quartz, emerald (though not a favourite of mine)

look at the models tights in this pic

in fact that dress might be good on you

WilfSell · 01/09/2008 23:37

jewel colours IMHO are teal, deep blue, raspberry, rich yellow, deep orange, purple... But what do I know?!

eviz · 01/09/2008 23:39

regularlyoverwhelmed just been looking at those wedges (who'd have thought Amazon sold shoes?)

First ones too chunky for me (I'm a size 8, so try and stick to more dainty styles otherwise I look like I have man-feet). Like the second pair very much though - in the tan colour. V. nice.

Asymmetric skirts sound good. I didn't look at any skirts today, was traumatic enough looking for tops and keeping away from pink (it was calling me, it was)

Purple and green tights?!

oooh, am feeling all enthused now, I want to go shopping! thanks Eviz!!

gotta do the work I was supposed to be doing all night (rather than vicariously shopping for you) but good luck with the makeover - is very exciting!

regularlyoverwhelmed · 01/09/2008 23:45

yes - kill the barely blacks and nudes! although those are ok for evening I think, with a sumptous little number. Wouldn't really wear them in daytime though. But then who am I? Not you. Good luck
