I know I'm normally sorting out everybody elses fashion problems but I need some inspiration.

I need COLOUR.

Not naff, but classy, in skirts, or dresses. For work, in a school.

I am size 12/14 top and size 14 big arse.

5 ft 9. Brunette . Blue Eyes. Some sun damage to cheeks.

Fly my pretties, fly! Find me clothes!!

I like colour next to my face, black on any arse over a size 12 is a good thing I think, very sliming.

Nbg · 31/08/2008 19:02

I'll help you when I've put the kids to bed.

Need to know what your skin colour is like first.
Cant just go out linking crap coloured stuff for you.

posieflump · 31/08/2008 19:02

Wallis do some nice chocolate brown trousers that suit most shapes

posieflump · 31/08/2008 19:04

lots of lovely colours at Principles

janeite · 31/08/2008 19:07

I like the violet one Boden - would be nice with boots methinks.

maidamess · 31/08/2008 19:08

Nbg I am 'Irish' complexion. Fairish skin.

katie DD I know black on the bottom half is slimming but I don't like having a coloured top and a black bottom, I think it can look cheap.

This boden dress but £££
Skirt
Dress
Passable for work?

maidamess · 31/08/2008 19:30

Mmm nbg, nice.
Boden dress, fear it would go bobbly and mishapen but...

But I like Great Plains (never thought to look there, gone wardrobe doolally), and that skirt is ace.

Purple dress..maybe a bit summery...looking outside at the tornado I'm thinking tights and boots.

Like the colour of the Monsoon trews and find the tippy toes mannequin very funny!

Anymore for anymore?

OP posts:
Nbg · 31/08/2008 19:53

I thought the bobbly thing about the boden dress.
Agree with the monsoon one too.

Joules skirt
Its grey but it will fit lovely and if you team it up with purple accessories, it will be fab

boogeek · 31/08/2008 19:59

Beige or brown. Still neutral and go with all colours (ish) but not black.
Every bottom I own is jeans. Sigh.

maidamess · 31/08/2008 20:00

Nbg I like the Joules skirts very much, especially the darker blue.

Dress, nice shape, not sure about the marl look. Or V back, to be honest. Bra fastening alert!

OP posts:
maidamess · 31/08/2008 20:01

I do appreciate you looking for me....

OP posts:
Nbg · 31/08/2008 20:05

You need new bras then

Nbg · 31/08/2008 20:09

White Stuff
Skirt
another skirt

theStallionOfSensibleness · 31/08/2008 20:12

soryy on phone

maidamess · 31/08/2008 20:19

Yes cod, jump to it.

Nbg, I've never done White stuff before but i do like that dress.

And yes I know I'm a fussy bugger, but grey marl's a little too Irene Cara for me.

My days of doing the splits in mid air are long gone.

janeite · 31/08/2008 20:20

Is it just me or does anybody else really hate beige trousers? a) They remind me of the "slacks" that my grandma used to wear b) They have a tendency to make you look (from a distance) as if you are naked from the waist down.
