high-waist, wide leg trews

sigh.

am off out to dinner with dh tonight and nearly, nearly wore these - but it's such a different silhouette to get used to and I just can't quite bring myself to do it yet. Knowing that I, with my does-my-bum-look-big-in-this issues, would be nervous about this look, I didn't splash any cash on it but bought a pair of gorgeous but cheap trews from a vintage shop in Greenwich. They looked fab in the shop but I have chickened out since bringing them home and keep trying them on trying to get used to how I look in something other than skinny or bootcut.

Am now in my trusty 7s, waiting for babysitter and berating myself for fashion chickeness

should I just keep wearing them and wait until they begin to look normal to me? Or give up now?

Oohh wear them! i'm sure they look gorgeous on you

Keep them for a while and hope you get your eye in for the shape, and head round the idea of them. Have a mass trying on session with them and everything else in your wardrobe (well, all the tops and shoes/boots), to see what might work with them - will help you get used to them.

Wear them, they do look great on. I know what you mean about the different silhouette, after the fashion for hipsters for so long, but I love the high waist look. I currently own 2 pairs of trousers. THey are great
