f&b website here

dreamy boots very much on my wish list...

orangina · 28/08/2008 10:28

I bought cheapo Frye lookalike boots at Jones a few years ago, but decided it just wasn't worth it as they were SO uncomfortable. Bought fab f&b boots last year on ebay and they continue to be the most comfortable boots i own....

Jazzicatz · 28/08/2008 10:28

Swoon

cremolafoam · 28/08/2008 10:28

????

Fimbo · 28/08/2008 10:29

LTH and I got fab rip off Fryes a couple of years ago from Schuh for £15. There were lovely but only lasted one winter.

Fimbo · 28/08/2008 10:34

Have just found this on telegraph website:-

Mid-range quality: Frye boots, from £150, from Biker Bob's, 37 Neal Street, London, WC2 (tel: 0800 132 194 for mail order). My favourites are the lace-up campus boots, for £175, which come in black or saddle leather. You should also go to Topshop, which stocks the classic unadorned Frye boots, pictured middle, and - for real aficionados - vintage Fryes, which will earn you maximum style points (tel: 0800 731 8284, or www.topshop.co.uk).

So it looks like Topshop are now selling Fryes, although I can't see them on the website.

Fimbo · 28/08/2008 10:37

Found some.

But god the price

orangina · 28/08/2008 11:06

Maybe you could try some on in the shops here and then order online from the States (£/$ excahnge rate still pretty favourable...)

I want these

orangina · 28/08/2008 11:11

amazon.com sell them...

Look at these !

Hogiabach · 28/08/2008 12:08

Very expensive but these are worth every penny. DH bought me a pair on our anniversary 2 years ago and they are great.

janeite · 28/08/2008 13:44

They are lovely Hogiabach.

Aefondkiss · 28/08/2008 19:40

orangina, those f&b boots are gorgeous, were they much cheaper on ebay?

Still, there is no way I could justify the price, I have a pair of 3 yr old Dorothy Perkin's biker boots...£40, I haven't worn them out yet, and I wear them a lot because they are great for the school run.... but if I had a few hundred spare, I would get the f&b ones.

Aefondkiss · 28/08/2008 19:44

Piratecat what about these?

Aefondkiss · 28/08/2008 19:48

oh and Piratecat, I like those Dr Marten ones you linked to, they are the humble relative of a a pair I saw on the site Orangina linked to.

Tutter · 28/08/2008 19:49

piratecat · 28/08/2008 21:32

ggirl i like the tipster biker ones, and your biker ones too frazzled fairy.

i want lots of boots now.

I loveboots but find I only wear my jeans over them, so what look could i go for, that would show the boots more.

i am wishing i could wear a skirt, but i am a bit short and fat. and i have to remember i am not 20 anymore!!
