Is it just me, or is Long Tall Sally finally getting it together?

I mean, I actually want to buy some of their workwear this season. And their PJs look fabulous for lounging around in. Makes a change from their usual frumperama clothes.

OP posts:
binkythebullet · 27/08/2008 21:24

where are you other tall laydees?

cmotdibbler · 27/08/2008 21:26

Its really a bit scary - suddenly they seem to have realised that having a collection is a good thing, rather than a bizarre collection of clothes.

Hope the quality is a bit better than the past too though

Beauregard · 27/08/2008 21:28

I have never bought anything from them as the clothes are frumpy and way overpriced.
Why charge us extra for having long legs?
Oh and most of their trousers would even be too long for me and im 6ft 2.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 27/08/2008 21:30

I have irritatingly just too long legs (33in) which means careful searching in mainstream shops, but LTS is way too long (don't they start at 36in or something?)

binkythebullet · 27/08/2008 21:31

Have you had a look at this season's catalogue PFNM? Out of interest, where do you buy your clothes? I also like Topshop's Tall Range.

binkythebullet · 27/08/2008 21:32

They do do 34" as well as 36"

mehgalegs · 27/08/2008 21:33

I am pleased that they are doing shoes and boots now and have just ordered som eriding boots. I'm also 6ft2 and the trousers arenot quite long enough unless I get the 38"which they do a few of.

When ever I go to Brighton I go to the shop, try stuff on but it is never quite right.

I usually end up with jeans and maybe a top.

i prefer tall girls.(The online shop)

Beauregard · 27/08/2008 21:34

I usually buy my trousers from Next as they do an extra long which i think is 33 inches but tbh sometimes they drag along the floor on me.
I havent looked on LTS for a few months no but why i would want to pay like 40 quid or so for a pair of pj's when i can get half mast ones for like 3 quid i dont know?

mehgalegs · 27/08/2008 21:35

Having a look now, will report back.

binkythebullet · 27/08/2008 21:36

I have had enough of half mast. I have always wanted a pair of PJ trousers long enough .

hester · 27/08/2008 21:36

They do seem to be trying to oomph up their ideas a bit. I find their lengths a bit odd, though. Their trousers are way too long for me (I'm 5'9"), and so are the skirts, but the dresses are just right, sometimes even a little short.

I do always wait for the sales. I don't think their stuff is worth the full price.

cmotdibbler · 27/08/2008 21:36

Have you seen that Next now have a Tall section online with 35" trousers and longer tops etc

binkythebullet · 27/08/2008 21:37

Just had a look at tall girls mehgalegs - I like.

Tobermory · 27/08/2008 21:38

Have you tall Girlies found the new tall range at NEXT, my 35" leg trousers were delivered this morning. They are very lovely!

binkythebullet · 27/08/2008 21:38

binkythebullet · 27/08/2008 21:56

I love the Maggie top mehaglegs

want for office

binkythebullet · 27/08/2008 21:56

Will take a look Tobermory

Beauregard · 27/08/2008 21:59

Just had a look, yes they certainly seem to have had a rethink.
Why are the sizes exs S M L etc??
Still quite pricey but i would consider buying from them now.

binkythebullet · 27/08/2008 22:00

Agree on the pricey side - I'm only thinking in the context of office/smart wear. Can get weekendy stuff much cheaper elsewhere.

Oh but I love that Maggie top .

Beauregard · 27/08/2008 22:09

Yeh Maggie top is lovely

champagneSupernova · 27/08/2008 22:10

oh totally - usually looks like a catalogue for workwear for bank clerks!

MrsMattie · 27/08/2008 23:46

Agreed it has improved, but where is the maternity wear?
A couple of pairs of frumpy jeans - gee, thanks!

I'm 5'11 and need maternity gear

Bronze · 27/08/2008 23:47

I like a look of some of their stuff this time. I do ind though that they make things increibly long in the body so its luck if something fits.
