Black and white wedding outfit - can I throw in another colour?

I'm going to a wedding next week. My outfit is a black and white dress, black shoes and hat. I know it's dull but I'm skint so I'm jazzing up the dress I wore to dd's christening. My mother, knowing the Irish weather has suggested a wrap but now thinks that white or black is too dull and I should have another colour entirely, red or pink or something but I think you'd need something else in that colour to tie it in.

Mumsnet Jury, you decide! Please...

Personally I'd stick with black. I don't think black and white is boring anyway, I find it quite striking!!

I'm sort of with both of you. On the one hand it's easier to stick to black and white but on the other hand...I am ebaying for a corsage! Thanks
