Hair as you get older ?

I am due an MOT, currently have collar length hair which is far too blonde.
I'm really trying to grow it to bra strap length, but wonder if I should ditch the highlights and just have it natural. I don't think I have any grey and was thinking the condition would be better if I wasn't dying it, but aren't you supposed to go lighter as you get older ?

What is your natural colour and how old are you ?

you can have a mixture of warmer and darker highlights put in,that's what I do

What about a light brown with a couple of blonde highlights through it.

I've had blonde for years which does not suit my pale complextion and recently changed to brown which has really lifted my skin.

Too blonde can make you looked washed out- a warmer tone with lighter touches can work well- your hairdresser should advise if they are any good!
