I disagree and said lots of women will have far more than 19. No says he, thinks I am yanking his chain.

Lol I dont think I have thrown a handbag away since I was 18
They live under my bed, inside other bags of course. I am not going to count them

I have already begun the hunt online .

I have seven handbags, but three of them were very expensive.
I would love to have 19, but I am in the quality, not quantity camp.

my problem is i like quantity of quality
i very nearly bought 2 dkny bags last week but stopped myself. i got one which is burgandy and beige with clear sequins all over it. it is stunning!!!

then found out they did the same bag in all black sequins. i will buy that one if i see it. i am going to bluewater sunday so keeping my fingers crossed.

I have a fantastic red bag I got from Mango a few years ago.

Looks brilliant with a grey pinstripe suit. Not that I have worn pinstripe suits since I had a baby. Still love the handbag though

19 is not a problem. Except it is such a messy number. Round it up to 20.

I read this and thought that 19 sounded like a lot. So I counted and found I have 18 (not including my shopping bags).

My red bag is now 14 years old and in need of replacement. I've been looking for 2 years now to find one I like but no success.

I am going to print this out and show dh.

Just read your lists, and my 32 are purely handbags I dare not count, beach bags, gym bag, swim bag, shoppers and nappy bags

lets just say that the wicker chest in my bedroom, does not hold them all !

I think I would actually frighten myself if I counted all mine up and I did give some to the charity shop when we moved last year.

I have lots of shoes too though.

Now I am good with shoes, have only two pairs, two sandals, a pair of crocs, two boots, and a pair of slippers.

Shoes are in the ottoman at the end of the bed.

Well I do shove purse in nappy bag usually but that doesn't stop me having handbags

I can't remember all but here we go:

1. Oilily weekender bag - bought as hospital bag but had homebirth (planned)

2. Cream pvc shoulder bag (Miss Selfridge)

3. Raspberry leather hobo bag (cheapo)

4. Yellow leather hobo (River Island - gorgeous)

5. Tan leather La redoute shoulder bag (cheapy)

6)navy blue pvc shoulder bag (you might notice a pattern here - trying to find the perfect shouldre bag! They all have pockets all over them)

7. Nica large shoulder bag (pale pink) Not sure about this one, is bag of the moment but may not last

8. various nappy bags that came with the prams (a whole nother story)

I just use one though really.

10. decorative beaded bags from Monsoon outlet - at least three of these...never used but make bedroom look pretty! Very cheap I hasten to add.

I think that is nearly all of them.

Shoes are too many, prob about 25 pairs altogether but rarely wear anything with a heel. I just keep all of them for ever as my feet stay the same size, and you never know when you might need a green pair for a wedding or something
