I'm just sick of being soaked. This is my first foray into proper wet weather gear, as I usually wear a non-waterproof excuse for a trench, and then get wet thru to my bra.

this is slightly better but has no hood so if you are pushing prams etc and can't use an umbrella you need a hat

Actually Land's End normally do a decent waterproof singlebreasted unlined mac (like this but £30 not £90) but it seems to be discontinued atm
