Any suggestions for comfy but smart outfit for flying upper class to New York?

I'm usually a sweat pants and t-shirt kind of girl, but I'm flying upper class to New York with a best friend for a girlie shopping trip next month, and I want to kind of start the trip feeling all 'Sex & the City'. Not sure what to wear for 8 hours on a plane though, I want to be comfy, but also look a bit glam for the airport lounge and on arrival at very nice hotel. Any suggestions?

this looks comfy

I would suggest something that won't crease, I'm sure the airport lounge has showers etc. Most business people I know take a suit in a bag, hang it up and fly in jeans and on arrival, take a shower and get dressed before they leave the airport.

Your comfiest non-linen trousers (jeans even) and a couple of layers on top esp if you have anything cashmere to look a bit more glam. Don't be tempted to wear heels

No I cant think of anything at all what so ever,

Wear something glam onto the plane, change into 'lounge wear' on the plane (the loo in 1st class is bigger), then change back just before landing. It's what the celebs do apparantly.

How about a wrap dress
That won't crease and will look fairly smart

(and yes I know they are sooo last year ) (or even the year before)

It all depends on whether its a day time flight or a night time flight.

Day-time wear some smart trousers and cashmere cardi for the airport lounge, change into smart sweats and smart t-chirt while travelling, then change back to first outfit for disembarking.

Night-time wear smart trousers and cashmere cardi for airport loung, change into comfy anything for sleeping then change back before disembarking.

Keep makeup to a minimum while flying and slap on the lipgloss etc before you land.

You will be surprised at how unglam most people are in upper class.

Thanks ladies (pmsl ggirl ). I never get to do anything with girlfriends, so really want to make an event of the weekend starting from the minute I step foot outside the house. The friend I'm going with always looks super stylish, and not like she's been rolling around on the floor all day with 2 dc's under 3! Will hopefully come back with suitcase brimming full of lovely things to wear . Like the sound of a cashmere cardi, will look into it...
