I'm sure she's a brilliant model and all that and I've nothing against her personally but I just don't get where all the acolades come from.

she's not originalshe's a total 8o's re-hash and I don't think she's stylish either I just don't get all the hysteria TBH.

I've not seen her in any particularly high profile campaigns either, can someone tell me what's all the fuss about???

She's in the London free papers every single day without fail and I agree, she's nothing special. I really don't get it either. Maybe it's an age thing.

snarky · 13/08/2008 19:35

who?!?

JackieNo · 13/08/2008 19:36

her.

snarky · 13/08/2008 19:37

oh. She looks forgettable.

notnowbernard · 13/08/2008 19:37

I'd like to know how you pronounce her name

I find it irritating how she's always posing with a wink and an open mouth

(Should really find something better to get worked up about)

cocolepew · 13/08/2008 19:38

Grazia are obsessed with her. Makes a change from KM at least.

JackieNo · 13/08/2008 19:38

Wikipedia biog. Silly name, imo. Worked though.

cocolepew · 13/08/2008 19:38

It's a made up name as well.

JackieNo · 13/08/2008 19:38

I believe (having heard something on the radio once,) you just pronounce it 'Agnes Dean'.

Spidermama · 13/08/2008 19:39

I would like to know the pronounciation too. I only see it written as she never seems to make it onto the telly or radio entertainmnent news. Well, not when I'm listening.

So is it just Agnes? In which case why the irritating spelling?

JackieNo · 13/08/2008 19:39

Numerology, spidermama - supposed to be 'lucky'.

snarky · 13/08/2008 19:40

I think she looks very American

Spidermama · 13/08/2008 19:40

So you've spelt it wrong in the title peacelily. It's Agyness according to the Wiki entry.

CouldYouWouldYouWithaGoat · 13/08/2008 19:42

i think she is really cool but then i am down with the kids.

Spidermama · 13/08/2008 19:42

Oh yes Jackie. I've read the numerology bit now.
Tsk.

peacelily · 13/08/2008 19:42

Yes Grazia fawn over her every week, puts me off buying it, I know models don't have to be traditioanlly "pretty" to be models but I always thought there would be something dramatic and striking about them, I mean she's striking but only because she's an 80s throwback and has short hair.

My dh has just said he knows who I'm talking about and she's rubbish

Bink · 13/08/2008 19:42

I think she looks rather fab.
Like a sort of cyborg avatar you can turn yourself into (as a fantasy, note) and then get anyone you'd ever wanted (in a cyborg way). I don't think I'd like to be her, though, in actuality.

JackieNo · 13/08/2008 19:43

She's got a lovely down-to-earth Manchester accent, rather surprisingly.

Spidermama · 13/08/2008 19:44

But what does she actually do?

Another shining example of femininity for our daughters to follow then.

snarky · 13/08/2008 19:45

'cyborg avatar' [grin

I agree, but that's not a good thing, surely?

cocolepew · 13/08/2008 19:46

I had a haircut similar to her short but long fringe one (not bleached). But I cut it when somebody told me I had hair like hers Actually she copied me

Bink · 13/08/2008 19:46

Well, hence not wanting to wake up as her, if you see what I mean. I think she's a bit complicated, what with actually being called Laura (but that not cutting it) and all.

CouldYouWouldYouWithaGoat · 13/08/2008 19:52

she does nothing, they all do nothing. it is depressing. i think i will move to the Galapagos's islands and raise dd with the giant lizards as role models.

raggety · 13/08/2008 19:55

She's tall with long limbs and an androgenous face. Other than that, instantly forgettable. A new media construct now that Kate's become a bit of a disappointment.

paolosgirl · 13/08/2008 19:58

She was in Jonathan Ross once and she's OK - but totally forgettable. Agree with the earlier post re eighties throwback. We all looked like that back then (apart from the Brosettes, but no-one spoke to them anyway)
