Need opinion of style gurus - dress me for girly night out!

I have a very nice satin wrap top, black with a flower print.
Now my wardrobe is very limited buying more clothes is not an option atm.
I have a black satin bias cut skirt or a pair of black velour wide legged pants.

Which do you think I should wear? Do you think the skirt being satin with the top would be too much, or should I stick with the same fabric?
I like the idea of wearing the skirt as I am always in trousers.

Anyone? Please help, I am seriously unstylish.

I would wear that with a smart pair of jeans and high heels.

That assumes I
a) have smart jeans,
b) wear high heels.

I have neither.
As I have already stated, I cannot buy more clothes. I only have what I stated in my original post.

Ummmm I wouldn't put that top with either of the things you have suggested. Do you have anyone you could borrow something to wear - or a charity shop maybe worth a look.

No I don't - none of my friends are remotely my size - short and fat.
Honestly, I don't do jeans or high heels. It's quite funny when I go out with 2 of my mates as they do wear heels - I'm 5'3 and they are both over 5'10" I do have a pair of kitten heels though, only about 1" high though!
I'm known for my slightly strange crap fashion sense.

When you say fat - what size are you?

Currently a size 18! Still to lose the pg weight
Ah well when I go to work in the next couple of weeks I'll start losing weight as will be more active, less opportunity to snack probably not enough time to eat!

Wear the top with the trousers and the kitten heels - and have a lovely time!
