the woods?

i love my Leki's.

they telescope so they fit on the sides of my pack when not in use and don't snag on foliage.

i started using walking sticks for hillwalking and approaches after my 4th knee surgery.

try ebay - my aunty recently fell 14ft and broke her back very badly in several places - she was very lucky as they didn't think she'd walk, but she's done so well. she didn't like the walking sticks for "old people" and she got a hand painted one from ebay with playboy bunnies on - not to everyones taste, but they should have other designs on there.

thank you all. i found a disability aids shop, where they had a huge selection, and dfather bought two. a lovely wooden one, and a black aluminium one.

She's only 43, and was really embarrassed about having to use a stick, and that one kind of takes the "old" bit out of the stick IYKWIM. She is quite trendy though!
