been all over lately and have managed to buy a few new things, have gone from 22 to a snug 16/loose 18 but i now need a jacket, something light, got heavier coat for colder weather, poss a denim jacket and need swimwear for hols, but until im smaller it must be bather not tankini/bikini..am crap at buying new things, i DONT KNOW what suits me as ive spent years in big loose clothes, so want nice trendy stuff, am only 31 so dont want to look like a frump

I would guess that any online clothes shop would do your size. What is your body shape/colouring?

Have a look at Gok Wan's 'dressing for your shape' site and take it from there.

PinkChick · 11/08/2008 20:55

LOl at your name Moonpigdotcom, dd sings that around the house ..ahem..sorry..well im quite big boobed (in a 38D at min, but despite losing weight these seem to be getting bigger!?), have a large butt, large thighs, am dark haired and fairly tanned (face, chest and arms are anyway

I seriously could do with one of those make over prgs just so i can get some ideas on what to buy as i go for jeans and t-shirts all the time!

LeDodgy, have been into d.perkins and new look today, couldnt find anything..are they online?(new look i mean?), not heard of asao, will try them too..thankyou

Have just looked on the Wallis website, as they often have nice jackets.

There's nothing there at the moment, as they are still trying to flog their summer sale stuff, but keep an eye on there, as most of their styles go up to an 18, and their outerwear really is fab.

denim jacket

fishie · 11/08/2008 21:09

pinkchick i bet you are not a 38d if you are 14-16, i am that size and have just been refitted into a 34f. i do still have some 36dds which are sort of the same size but don't look half as good (it is a capacity thing, so the bra is like a vessel, some may be bowls and some mugs but will all hold the same amount)

missblythe · 11/08/2008 21:10

this is fab

fishie · 11/08/2008 21:10

and i have huge big swimming back / shoulders.

mazzystar · 11/08/2008 21:12

i second the bra fitting advice

have you tried principles, or hobbs if you want to splash out a bit

sandyballs · 11/08/2008 21:13

Where did you get measured fishie? Think i need to.

mazzystar · 11/08/2008 21:13

for jacket that is

not sure about swimwear

always buy mine in toast sale, but may not be young enough for you

missblythe · 11/08/2008 21:13

belted denim

Pannacotta · 11/08/2008 21:14

Monsoon, Hobbs both well cut for curves IMO.
Perhaps book a slot with a personal shopper at JOhn Lewis, House of Fraser, Debenhams for some ideas/help?

missblythe · 11/08/2008 21:16

scrumptious with your new curves

missblythe · 11/08/2008 21:16

ooh, and this one

PinkChick · 11/08/2008 21:26

ooh been googled everywere just saw all these messages..the top shop denimjacket i doubt would fit, looks fitted and im 16-18, tried a ted baker 'large' on today and it almost ripped

like the black cross over bather although i was hoping to get something with a funky print??..have just seen a fab tankini(i know, i said not these) it was on bravvismo and finky stripes but the pants were titchy...i havent EVEr been fitted for bra..just tried on and bought whatever fitted me!, last one was from la senza and is 38 d but am seeing a little spillage lately?, maybe cos its just been TOTM???
