What's the MN Style verdict on denim ..

Ages ago I bought a denim jacket (a nice mid denim blue shade tailored one, not a Status Quo heavy metal Levis version ) but I have hardly worn is due to not knowing what to wear jeans wise with it? do I opt for jeans trying to find exactly the same shade, or is it better to have the blue jacket & black jeans????

I suspect it would be too much to wear it with jeans - maybe linen trousers? In brown, or something?

I never did double denim, until this summer when I wore a fitted jacket with BF jeans. Looked lush, actually.

Have got lovely Lee retro denim jacket, I tend to wear it with dresses, or pedal pushers. At a push fitted linen trousers. Would necer wear it with jeans or winter trousers.

DP keeps saying it would look fine to wear denim jacket and dark blue denim jeans (at which he recieves withering look)

Actually Cocolepew's boyfriend jeans idea sounds very cool (but would need to be slim and not have a wide bum to get away with it)

I have too many bad 80s memories to wear a denim jacket with anything else but skirts or dresses.

I ususally wear my denim jacket with knee-length skirts and boots through winter or linen trousers through summer.

I have a little Levis fitted jacket, very nice with dresses, or non-jeans trousers of most descriptions. Never wear with jeans though, matching or otherwise.
