korma most adjustable waists are completely useless. basically, they make the trousers without bothering to put the elastic in, and then pretend that you can tighten it. which is fine if you really only want to cinch it in by a cm. but if you need to reduce it by about 18 inches, its impossible. not to mention the hard fabric folds caused by the excess material, which then dig into hi s skin.
most manufacturers just assume that kids are fat, or if thin, then they are also short. ds is skinny minny, but one of the tallest in his class, despite being one o f the younger ones.
