I need to find the perfect jeans

HELP,

I have a wardrobe full of jeans that I don't wear because I hate them all - I need to find some perfect ones.......

My main problem is that all jeans seem to have big buttons which make my belly stick out. i have quite a large bottom so I need something that will balance that out - no skinny's for me. Bootcut or Flare I assume.

Also I can't stand these low rise things - I have 2 children for god's sake and a muffin top to match! I need something that will hold the wobbly bits in and make my tummy look tiny!

What I would absolutly love is a pair of jeans that zip up at the side so there is no bulk around my tummy. Does anyone know of such a pair???????

THANKS!!!!!

Do they sell 13's as well?

Diesel are good jeans they last forever.

I bought some New Look jeans yesterday.

They have a lovely high waist that holds your tummy in!!!

They are quite flared, in dark denim, they are very flattering I'm vv pleased with them.

Nice and cheap too.

Flier · 07/08/2008 18:10

can i ask, communion, what were they called? I've looked there and they all seem to be the low waisted ones.

Communion · 07/08/2008 18:18

I've just pulled them down to look, but can't see a name, except 'House of denim' and 'original pioneer', not sure if that is the name.

It did say 'wide leg' on the label but I think they are more bootleg, fitted around the bum and thighs and flared at the bottom.

It was such a relief when I put them on and they did up at my waist, aftre all these years of muffin overhang, at last!!!

had lots of positive comments on them today. well, two!!

thanks communion, will take a look

Flier · 07/08/2008 18:33

Communion · 07/08/2008 19:08

I bought some new jeans from Monsoon last week - was scared becaue they came from Monsoon they could easily make me look like somebody's Mum (I am but of course don't want to look it!!!!). My not yet a Mum friend and 19 year old assistant said - no no no - they look simple and cool!!! "Oh yes - like Kate Moss?" I asked "Oh yes!" They nodded and grinned!!!

and p.s they are also as comfy as old boots - I love them too much!!!

And the moral of this story - look in Monsoon!

Diesel men's jeans are fab, bought dh a pair long ago and they've only just worn out. Sometimes you can get mens and womens at TKMaxx. Not sure what the best fit is for women, the ones I've seen are so low and have skinny legs! Are there any for curvy women?!

hatcam · 08/08/2008 09:03

J brand jeans - not too low waisted but not high waisted either, perfect for avoiding muffin top. Magic slimming effects of thighs and bum. Step away from the Mary Portas ones, they are horrid.

zippitippitoes · 08/08/2008 09:14

new look attach hideous belts to everything always ditch the belts

JRocks · 08/08/2008 10:07

I have seen some 7 for all mankind jeans in TK Maxx, if you wanted to try some on..

Jecka · 08/08/2008 10:51

I second/third/fourth the monsoon jeans, was v. suprised to find size 10 black slim fit fitted and give that "skinny jean" look that I thought only my 20 yr old sister could pull off. 11.50 in the sales!

I do cheat occasionally with the muffin top thing and wear control pants, makes me feel more confident especially with jeans (bit hot in summer though!).

sweetheart · 08/08/2008 21:44

ok, I have gone a bit overboard and ordered about £800 worth of jeans from asos.com

I will not, of course, be keeping them all but decided to get lots of different brands delievered to my house to try them all out.

Will let you know how I get on.

Am still looking for those elusive side zip ones if anyone can help - oh will also check out Monsoon.........
