Matching finger and toe nail polish... is it a faux pas not to match?

currently have hot pink toes and coral fingernails... should they be the same colour? does it matter? does anyone care? will i be judged on the beach? or have i totally got the colour du jour wrong and i should be having neon green nails?

I think the more common 'mismatch' is dark red toes a la Pulp Fiction, and light colored fingernails.

Different shades of red/pink on fingers and nails don't look too good imho.

I rarley see people with matching tos and fingers these days I think personally anything goes.

Mine always match.
I do my fake tan, then both sets of nails (nails always seem to go grubby with the tan)

(coral is way better than neon green for the moment but I suspect with the supposed tartan kick next season it'll be all reds and blacks)

right now I've got Rouge Noir fingernails and Barry M silver toenails.

expat, barry m polishes are 2 for £5 in boots here at the mo.. i love them !

I dont like painted fingernails, but if they are painted I think they should be the same.

Currently I have a gorgeous Coral colour on my toes and my fingernails are french polished

i love all the kooky colours for the girls (and i use them on my toes, too ).

who will be close enough to notice? . I personally think do whatever you fancy!

I always think matching is a bit naff.

i always buy a sparkly one, put it on and then remember that it takes a bottle of remover to get it off again!!

you are right, no-one except DH and teh DCs will look at my fingers and toes..

i might do them all coral, with pink tips

at 28 weeks pregnant, i can't reach my toenails well enough to paint them a dark colour at present, hence, going for neutrals or light colours.

Well I just ripped one of my toenails off this morning so literally flesh tone for me!
