For a September wedding (end of September)?

I like it.

Pannacotta · 03/08/2008 21:29

Gorgeous, though you would probably need a shrug/little cardi to cover your shoulders in September.

TillyScoutsmum · 03/08/2008 21:30

I like it - grey accessories rather than "natural" though I think

yelnats · 03/08/2008 21:32

I was thinking grey accessories but not sure about shoes or what colour of cardi/shrug? Any ideas? I bought the dress today! It is lovely on.

How about a steely grey for the shrug and pewter or silver for bag and shoes/sandals?

Monsoon and Coast have lots of shrugs (and bags too), not so sure where to look for shoes/sandals

It has straps too - can be worn with or without.

it is pretty, I would want to have bright accessories, red or bright yellow, because the dress is simple and quite pale, contrast would be good.

CaptFabioHiltsCatInTheCooler · 03/08/2008 21:41

I think you have to be careful with a cream dress at a wedding. You don't want to look to bridey. Unless you're the bride.

yelnats · 03/08/2008 21:45

Its more grey than cream. The bride is my auntie and she is wearing ivory.

This is nice but quite ££ and maybe a little fussy?

Not sure about wearing red or yellow with it, IMO it might look a bit odd.

I don't think its a dress which would compete with the bride, its patterned after all.

PavlovtheCat · 03/08/2008 21:48

A shrug to match the pattern, and accessories too, that way it will certainly not match the bride!

Pannacotta · 03/08/2008 21:49

anything constructive to say cod??

yelnats · 05/08/2008 09:01

that is lovely Panacotta but a bit expensive.

I really like both. Not at all like a bride but very chic and elegant. You have lovely taste.

Gobbledigook · 05/08/2008 09:35

Don't really like it myself but will probably look nice on

Aefondkiss · 05/08/2008 21:00

yelnats, I noticed Monsoon have 70% off on lots of their clothes in store now, maybe you should try there for accessories?

girlnextdoor · 05/08/2008 21:12

It's advertised as a Prom Dress- not that that should matter, but I think it looks too "eveningy" and strapless dresses imo are a bit too informal for weddings unless super-hot summer day .
