I always do inside and out. Is that odd then?

HuwEdwards · 01/08/2008 11:46

yep I still do, my eyelid rim is very red so I look like a bleary eyed drunk if I don't! Mostly I use black but if I'm going for subtle then I use White which appear to freshen the eyes.

HuwEdwards · 01/08/2008 11:49

hmmm...but is it a suitable look for a woman in her 40s? hmmm?

Ledodgy · 01/08/2008 11:53

I think it onlt works if you do it inside and out like VB otherwise it makes your eyes look smaller.

BroccoliSpears · 01/08/2008 11:54

I used to do that. Still do on the odd occasion I wear makeup and can find an eyeliner.

I once told my mum about it and she did it and thought it was brilliant until I mentioned that I'd made it up (I don't mean I think I invented it, just that I didn't copy it from anywhere, I experemented and came up with it by myself) and she was furious and would never do it again.

Twinkie1 · 01/08/2008 11:55

Tis not a good thinhg to do in hygiene terms as sticking something back into your eye time and time again sust puts bacteria in there!

Hate it personally - makes me think of obnoxious little madams patrolling the town centre thinkig they are all grown up without realising they look like they have piggy eyes!

nailpolish · 01/08/2008 11:56

yes i did used to wonder if it made my eyes look smaller

OP posts:
themoon66 · 01/08/2008 11:57

I do because putting it on outside only seems to emphasise the redness of my inners.

isaidno · 01/08/2008 11:58

When I was a teenager you had to wear your eyeliner on the inside.
(And it had to be blue What did we look like?)

WideWebWitch · 01/08/2008 11:59

I was in a meeting with someone with eyeliner like this this week, couldn't take my eyes off it, luckily just l0ooked like I Was looking at her. I used to when I was 17

derelicte · 01/08/2008 12:01

Doesn't it gunk up as black snot in the corner of your eye?

themoon66 · 01/08/2008 12:01

No it doesn't gunk up like snot. I used a pale grey colour, not black.

WideWebWitch · 01/08/2008 12:03

I remember you always ended up with black bits in the innne corner of your eye, yuk

nailpolish · 01/08/2008 12:04

i wear blue eyleiner

and green

OP posts:
InLoveWithSweeneyTodd · 01/08/2008 12:07

I can't use black, it doesn't look right on me. I use green (well, when I do make up) outside, and a little bit of white inside (it does wonders)

TheCrackFox · 01/08/2008 14:34

Seems a sure fire method of giving yourself conjunctivitis.
