i have just watched last nights trinny and suzannah and i have no idea what my cornerpiece is. apart from jeans which i do have lots of varied styles.

so what is your cornerpiece?

i don't have one and think trinny and suzannah are about as detached from reality as the queen.

JackieNo · 31/07/2008 17:56

I didn't see it - what do they mean by cornerpiece? Something you wear a lot of? Does that mean specific item, or general shape, or what? If specific item, there's a straight black stretchy skirt that I've worn probably 3 out of 5 days a week, all autumn and winter (and much of spring too) for about 8 years now. If shape, probably v-neck top (short or long sleeves). But I may be completely misunderstanding what this is.

Anything with cat hair on it.

GrapeJelly · 31/07/2008 18:17

Does anyone think that T & S look perfectly dressed all the time? I've seen them both wearing rank outfits in every series.

lizandlulu · 31/07/2008 18:29

they say a cirnerpeice is the item which you base all of your other clothes around.

i do think they must try too hard with their clothes. sometimes they look good, but like grapejelly said, they do wear some seriousley dodgy stuff. trinny more so i think.

it is different depending on season, time of life etc
in summer, it is cropped trousers with me
in winter it can be jeans, or black trousers
or it could be a comfy shoe. ie everything has to be able to go with it.

I don't have a single item of clothing I base all other clothes around - I have lots of different looks - life gets boring otherwise

MrsFluffleHasAWuffle · 31/07/2008 18:52

A white shirt/tshirt I would say, can go with anything, can be dressed up or dressed down accordingly.

lizandlulu · 31/07/2008 18:53

do you know i dont think i own one single plain white t shirt/shirt!

those two rival that Hembleton-Jones person for naff, unimaginative and dull clothing choices.

Why on Earth would you want to base all your looks around a single garment?

It could go the way of lipsticks, you wear one out and then find out it's been discontinued.

chapstickchick · 31/07/2008 18:56

im vv boring- in winter/autumn its black trousers (long legged boot cut) and in summer its white linen trousers lol

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 01/08/2008 13:52

I don't have one but I have a thing for fabulous coats. You can sling one on and dash out and no one knows that underneath you have a badly stetched polyester vest with weetabix all over it.

InLoveWithSweeneyTodd · 01/08/2008 15:18

i've got a weakness for coats too DWP! You cannot beat a well-cut coat.
And red shoes.
Can't say they are my cornerthingy though...
that has to be JEANS

Slouchy · 01/08/2008 15:21
