I've just got back with my ex...wonderful guy just wasn't right time first time round.
Anyway, his nephew is getting married in 2 weeks and he wants to take me to the wedding. It's in a big posh stately home and we'll stay over.

I do have a nice dress I wore to my cousin's wedding 2 years back but it'd be lovely to get something new.

I'll post as I spot things but any ideas welcome. I'm 5 ft 8 long in the body size 12.

Hmm - body shape? Norks/not, good arms? short or longer length? And vague budget?

JumpingDizzy · 26/07/2008 13:47

curvy body shape bit of tum. good arms, 36D boobs, mid to long length as I'm 40 don't want to do mutton for dress up to £70 maybe bit more?

Hmm - this is a bit of a bargain - also in black, but you can see the detail better in the raspberry version.

JackieNo · 26/07/2008 14:20

Principles have some lovely looking ones - I like the
chocolate shift dress
Painted rose
Pink ruffle dress (ruffles good for disguising tummy area)
Bit over budget, but lovely

amner · 26/07/2008 14:23

Ooh that raspberry one is lovely and a fab price !

Get it ...get it ...get it !!!

JumpingDizzy · 26/07/2008 16:14

Thanks JackieNo have ordered the raspberry one What a bargain!! I ordered a 14 to be on the safe side but it should be ok?

I went into jane norman today and they've got loads of lovely dresses in the sale down to £20 - £30 instead of £40 - £60

LoveMyGirls · 26/07/2008 16:38

oh I'm too late sorry should read whole threads lol

JumpingDizzy · 26/07/2008 16:38

thanks lovemygirls. I've ordered the raspberry one from ghost. Just thinking about accessories now. I'd prefer more time but it's quite exciting.

what do you think of these sandals?

OP posts:
JackieNo · 26/07/2008 16:49

I like those. Tbh, the dress may be a difficult colour to match - but going a bit darker, as I suspect those ones are, should work. I have no idea what Ghost sizing is like, so hope it's all OK.

JumpingDizzy · 26/07/2008 18:57

Yes JackieNo I was thinking that, going darker will be a better idea.
I'm thinking beads necklace now? maybe dark pink too? Or I was thinking of silver bag and silver beads or necklace?

OP posts:
JackieNo · 26/07/2008 18:58

Silver could be good. Too much pink might be a bit overwhelming.

JumpingDizzy · 26/07/2008 19:11

Yes I think so too Might look a bit 80's

OP posts:
MABS · 26/07/2008 20:33

ghost sizes are quite accurate, certainly not small.

JumpingDizzy · 27/07/2008 13:08

thanks MABS. Hope it isn't too big then although I am 12/14 in most dresses and I want to be able to eat plenty

Just over 2 hours for the sandals so hope I win them?
