I suspect that the bubble hem on the chloe would date it very quickly, that the pink one is too girly-girly for someone in their thirties and that the paperclip sundress is a bit 'messy'. Although it is the most ££££ I think I would lean towards the Rodriguez as I just don't think it would date, therefore an investment? what are your thoughts?

Doodle2U - I agree with you completely, I wouldn't part money for any of them.

LittleMoosh · 24/07/2008 21:38

None of them are doing it for me - sorry

Depends on your figure, age and what you go for

At a push I would have number 3

foofi · 24/07/2008 21:44

If I had to wear one, it would be no. 2, but I don't really like any of them.

pickie · 24/07/2008 21:46

No 1 but what is the occassion?

cornsilk · 24/07/2008 21:47

number 1 if you're skinny but don't like any of the others.

Lizzylou · 24/07/2008 21:48

Really not keen on any of them, No. 4 is really very, erm, tacky looking (actually so is the paperclip one).

I wouldn't be surprised to see any of those dresses in New Look tbh.

Sorry

paolosgirl · 24/07/2008 21:49

No. 1 at a push (but only if money really was no object, and even then I'd have to force myself to hand over the money.
No. 2 - cheap nightie
No. 3 - whoahhhhh...headache
No. 4 - bag lady

Sorry

Stargazing · 24/07/2008 21:49

No particular occasion, just stocking up the wardrobe for all of the occasions yet to come! So I guess part of the question is: which one is the adaptable, wear-anywhere, as well as the most timeless?

paolosgirl · 24/07/2008 21:52

Wow - I wish I had your occasions yet to come! My OYTC would involve jeans, more jeans, yet more jeans - and a nice wee top

gothicmama · 24/07/2008 21:53

i like 4 I think you could make it look very unique

harpomarx · 24/07/2008 21:54

lol paolosgirl. Me too. Plus cut off jeans for hot days

Fimbo · 24/07/2008 21:55

Gosh Stargazing you are always buying from that website.

Don't really like any of them

oxocube · 24/07/2008 21:56

only like 1 (although not for me as I have big boobs). But then I looked at the price and think you would be mad

macherie · 24/07/2008 21:57

I think 4 is gorgeous, wouldn't consider any of the others.

oxocube · 24/07/2008 21:58

sorry because no 1 is simple, wouldn't date, nice, pretty, summery colours. I really don't have anything nice to say about the others, sorry

Stargazing · 24/07/2008 22:01

Fimbo - didn't say I was buying! this is purely hypothetical.

I bought a £5 frock off ebay t'other day.

OP posts:
PortAndLemon · 24/07/2008 22:02

I don't think any of them is adaptable wear-anywhere, really.

janeite · 24/07/2008 22:03

Number one is simple and cute and I quite like it - but you could get something like that for much less money.

Number two is hideous imho.

Number three is quirky yes but it hurts my eyes.

Number four just looks shapeless and cheap to me, sorry.

I wouldn't buy any of them to be honest. Instead I'd go to somewhere like Ted Baker and buy a couple of nice silk dresses for less than the price of one of those you've linked to.

ThatBigGermanPrison · 24/07/2008 22:04

Number 1.

MaryAnnSingleton · 24/07/2008 22:05

first one

fishie · 24/07/2008 22:07

purple one is best, lovely colour and shape
pink one will do but the macrame is a bit scary
paperclip is horrid
sundress is so boring i had to look at it 3 times to manage this comment

ilovemydog · 24/07/2008 22:09

number 4

orangina · 24/07/2008 22:12

I like this one, feels much more timeless than the others...

(not very helpful, sorry!)

Stargazing · 24/07/2008 22:16

yes but it is see-through!!!

and only available in a large
