don't you like it suzywong?!?! (oh bollocks, thought it might be quite nice over jeans ans wedges, I clearly need re-educating...)

orangina · 24/07/2008 15:13

have now understood cod comment, was trying to work out the typo

Oliveoil · 24/07/2008 15:15

not too sure on that one orangina, what I find with FC is that they look rubbish on line but in the shop you want to buy everything

they ahd a really nice one last Christmas which nobbo didn't buy - similar to the yellow one on there now - long sleeves, mid thigh

would have been great for years to come, grrrrr

like this but in plain black and plum

Don't like that 2nd French Connection one at all - it looks like one of the weirdo things left at the end of the Toast sale. Then again I have never, ever seen anything that I like enough to buy in FC - shapeless and over-priced most of it imho.

I can see Alexa Chung in that one, with flat gladiator sandals and her fringe in her eyes

suzywong · 24/07/2008 15:19

who is Alexa chung?

orangina · 24/07/2008 15:22

i'm trying really hard to justify village idiot dress to myself... thinking it might work in winter with leggings and biker style boots (narrow eyes)

orangina · 24/07/2008 15:22

(attempting to morph self w Alexa Chung might take more than narrowing eyes though...)

Transistional (or sometimes called transeasonal) is technically a range that comes in to store just before or as the sales start to take you through to the next season but which is not necessarily seasonal (used to be just cruisewear dahling that covered this but now is very much a high street technique). So now, shops will start to bring in for example, new light weight knit jumpers, fancy non-knitted scarves, wrap dresses, shirt dresses etc which can be worn "inter" season when its too warm for sweaters and trousers but too cold for skimpy baby doll dresses. Pashminas traditionally start kicking off around now!

Alexa Chung is a tv presenter, goes out with someone from a band (??)

I like the Bex dress, agree it looks better in store and I also like the village idiot dress! With some big sunnies that would look v trendy.

My fave dress at French Connection at the mo is the wizard dress, have you seen it? Its gorgeous, it looks nothing online but worn its is very flattering. i couldnt get one in store as they had sold out so got one off ebay after weeks of prowling it waiting for a size 12 navy! Here it is on somebody famous
