Seriously....

My DH has asked for help. He very rarely buys any clothes, aside from the odd polo shirt. I'm pretty sure that he has the same trousers in his wardrobe that he had when we met 10 years ago.

I agree he needs help.

Where can he buy some new clothes and what should he wear? He is of average height and weight, balding and wears glasses.

He is very lovely but in a style rut.

maybe he could buy some cheaper combat type trousers in primark nd see how he gets on with those? maybe leafing thru a mail order catalogue will give him ideas of a style he likes.

Is he quite sporty/hippy/business like whats his 'style'?

He is 32.

He is usually quite casually dressed. No sportswear. Hates football. He usually goes for flowery shirts if he wants to dress a little smarter but he has decided he wants to be a little smarter all the time.

He likes jumpers, jeans, that sort of thing.

He is not a combat jeans sort of a person.

His company is very relaxed. No one wears suits unless they are going for an interview somewhere else!

Yes, he is fine most of the time. But he feels he is stuck in a style rut and wants to update.

Gap?

Dp gets all of his clothes from Gap and Monsoon, with a few slightly "younger" T shirts from Urban Outfitters.

Oh yes, Gap. Forgot about them. I do wish they'd sell online.

Boden do men's stuff.

(But beware Boden's tendency to think brightly coloured trousers are 'fun').

He does have a Boden shirt, which he likes. I guess what he wants is a particular style. I think he needs Gok.

Where are mexx going? I spent my first ever clothes allowance, aged 14, on a pink cropped Mexx jumper. I loved it.

I'd also recommend White Stuff, Fat Face, Ted Baker.
My DH sounds similar-ish and likes the above labels.
Gap can also be ok.
I think really well cut trousers or jeans (try Ted Baker) with smart polo shirt (not white but grey/blue etc) for summer looks good.
Also decent shoes - try Jones/Clarks or sandals - look in Clarks or at Birkenstocks, minus socks of course!

there is also timberland but very expensive and rather dull.
