Alternative to Touche Eclat?

Had a nasty reaction to this, with red, dry and scaly skin under the eyes.

What else can I use to disguise those bags?

Someone mentioned on here a few days ago a 2 stage product you can get from Boots "Dr something or other". I will do a search.

AnotherFineMess · 20/07/2008 19:46

I have been really pleasantly surprised by Collection 2000 'Illuminating Touch - Light diffusing concealer'.

It's really cheap so if your a brands kind of gal you might be a bit dubious, but I think it's really very good.

ComeOVeneer · 20/07/2008 19:46

Either this or this

AnotherFineMess · 20/07/2008 19:46

southeastastra · 20/07/2008 20:22

tesco make concealer is cheap but really good

MrsTiddles · 20/07/2008 21:02

if you had a reaction to touche eclat I would try clinique or almay as a gentle alternative first.

2loudboys · 21/07/2008 13:10

Benefit Erase Paste - tis fab. But don't fanny about with brushes, just dab on with ring finger & blend.

Wordsmith · 21/07/2008 13:11

I always used Body Shop Lightening touch

JRocks · 21/07/2008 13:14

Erase paste here too.. or boi-ing

Lizzylou · 21/07/2008 13:16

I had a reaction to Touch Eclat too, and I'm not allergic to anything, I don't have sensitive skin at all.

cyanarasamba · 21/07/2008 13:17

Yes I'm not ususally the sensitive sort either - how strange.

Was made worse for a while as I was adding more Touche Eclat to try to cover up the rash!

Another vote here for clinique airbrush.

I had exactly the same response to Touche Eclat. I have v dry skin, and I think it just dried me out rather than being an allergic reaction.

I was recommended (by a v good make-up artist!) Estee Lauder Creme Concealer, and it's great, like a v thick tinted moisturiser - and it works fine on its own without foundation.

jojosmaman · 21/07/2008 13:29

I buy Tesco under eye concealer in emergencies (ie if I run out of Touche Eclat and the dept stores are closed or am skint!) and it is really good. The only reason I don't buy it all the time is it actually works out more expensive than Touche Eclat as it lasts about two weeks with regular use whereas my touche eclat last three months!

Dickorydockwhatthe · 07/10/2017 23:17

Do aldi still do make up?? I'm looking for an alternative to you he eclat

Bombardier25966 · 07/10/2017 23:52

This is an old thread!

Yes, Aldi still do the concealer. Just checked their website and it's in stock from tomorrow!

DammitAllNamesAreTaken · 08/10/2017 01:25

The Kiko one is good but the brush is a little stiffer but gives better coverage.
I also like the L'Oréal lumi one.

Dickorydockwhatthe · 08/10/2017 20:08

Ah fab thanks!!!
