ah lovely! hope you have a good time.

ThatBigGermanPrison · 19/07/2008 22:40

It doesn't look like it costs that much money. If that's the look you're going for, all well and good, but if you don't want to look like you shop at New Look, then choose something else.

Disclaimer - I actually DO shop at New Look, so am not being a snob

ahundredtimes · 19/07/2008 22:41

Not all that keen on it. Besides, purple no longer on trend or fashion forward dontchaknow.

LobstersLass · 19/07/2008 22:45

I think it's gorgeous.

Stargazing · 19/07/2008 22:51

on trend .... that has got to be the most maddening expression ever coined by finger-on-the-bean fashionistas EVER!!!!!

It struck me as 80s-throwback, but apparently one-shouldered tops are very in at the moment so that's probably a good thing. It would look absolutely gopping on me, but from your description I suspect would look good on you.

maidamess · 19/07/2008 22:56

I like it, but think it looks cheap with black. brights and black don't look good, IMO

Stargazing · 19/07/2008 22:58

Better with denim though, right?

no. Looks a bit cheap and tarty.

It is cute, but you have to be young and small chested. No good for bras. I agree that pairing it with black cheapens it - maybe try white linen?

norkmaiden · 19/07/2008 23:18

lol Stargazing!

Stargazing · 19/07/2008 23:22

bum too big for white linen. Small chested - no problem!! even breast feeding I am still non-existent up top!!

young ... hmmm. Does 35 count? I eat blueberries, pomegranates and salmon ....

for me, it would be a disaster, but it sounds like you'll totally nail it.

hunkermunker · 19/07/2008 23:28

Like a chicken.

Foul.

hunkermunker · 19/07/2008 23:29

PMSL at "finger-on-the-bean fashionistas" though

ExterminAitch · 19/07/2008 23:33

i hope it's their own bean and their own finger.

Stargazing · 19/07/2008 23:35

arfishy · 19/07/2008 23:40

The Sydneysiders will love it .

Gobbledigook · 19/07/2008 23:41

Tacky

Stargazing · 19/07/2008 23:43

I MEANT finger on the bean.

Back in my snowboarding days, I used to live at a well-known US resort with a bunch of crazy riders, on of whom used to boast that various girls would go home and be "flicking the bean" as they thought about him.

As the only girl in the household, I should have been outraged and offended but it cracked me up.

I was getting at the wankiferous nature of many fashionistas.
