Right, I don't think it's particularly warm and I don't want to really go out tonight in Cambridge in kaftany-summery clothes so would it be a terrible fashion faux-pas to wear.....?

A black flowery skirt, camisole and shrug

but with knee length new season black/grey boots

all of this is solely to get round the fact that my best friend has decided we must all dress up a bit and has banned birkies thus rendering me unable to wear floaty linen trousers and birkies (which is all I have worn for last 8 weeks)

I should put this in aibu -

all opinions please, even unflattering ones

i am wearing boots and dress, but they are brown mid calf so not entirely wintry. is a reasonably substantial dress too.

bare legs not tights and i think you will be fine.

I haven't got time, I am epilating and doing a pedicure at the moment
