thats lovely. Gold? Gold wedges?

ChopsTheDuck · 16/07/2008 08:18

matching that gold/bronzy colour would be good. I suppose brown at a push.

LisaLessLumpy · 16/07/2008 08:49

Its finding gold wedges though... how about a sandal? again if I can find them

A bronze/gold flip flop affair would be too casual do you think?

how about these?

Agree that metallic would be good with the dress. Colour on my screen is a bit unreliable so I can't tell if they're a good colour match, but the style is good.

LisaLessLumpy · 16/07/2008 09:41

I think I need to get the dress first (won on ebay last night) then take it with me shopping. I reckon sandals are the way to go though as the dress is silk and will probably look quite delicate.

ps, I'm not great with high strappy heels either, but could just about manage for an evening out if I didn't have to walk far

new look have some gold wedges and sandals

LisaLessLumpy · 16/07/2008 09:47

Thanks for that, I think they will be too bright though, it looks a dark gold/bronze on the print of the dress.

these wedges would look fantastic, the colour is definitly perfect. cause the red clashes with the green
xx

PeachyBAHons · 16/07/2008 15:08

if you want aharmonious colour scheme go for the gold for glam, brown for more under stated

or if you want cool clashing which the young people (OK, Gok LOL) seem to favour, a nice lime sandal wedge

LisaLessLumpy · 16/07/2008 15:21

Lola - blimey they are high, very cool too, just cannot justify the money though, I have spent far too much on clothes and shoes lately, not good when DH has had to take a 20% paycut

LisaLessLumpy · 16/07/2008 15:26

PeachyBaHons - I would never have thought of Lime wedges...

how about a muted red sandal? like this or am I way off the mark?

PeachyBAHons · 16/07/2008 16:02

I think you'd need to ty it, it could be fab, or could look like you tried to tone and got it wrong iyswim

LisaLessLumpy · 16/07/2008 16:05

you're right. I'll go shopping and take the dress with me

PeachyBAHons · 16/07/2008 16:10

don't forget ebay again though lol [http://shop.ebay.co.uk/items/_W0QQ_nkwZlimeQ20greenQ20wedgesQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZQQ_mdoZQQ_sopZ12 here]

LisaLessLumpy · 18/07/2008 10:57

Just had the dress delivered... the print is not gold like it looks on the photo it is a pale green, so not likely to be able to get a colour match on the dress. So what contrasting colour do you think? its an awkward one, even though it is two shades of green, because it is silk it has a metallic look to it I can only think of red but I'm not sure. The dress is quite long, it comes down to mid calf on me as I am a shortarse.

That's what happens when you buy of ebay I suppose.

I think gold would still look good.

hope you like.

I like the first ones and last ones, I am in no rush to wear the dress though, so will get some shoes at a later date, I have bought too many pairs the last two months

I think you are right though, I think gold will be the best bet.
