Shall I go for a bob that is short on one side and longer on the other?

Bored, bored bored bored bored, BORED!

I have a bob now - see profile pics if you want, and it's long at the front, short at the back. It's nice, I like, but fancy a change.

So - having a colour (have some grey sneaking in) and it's going to be subtle lowlights underneath in a kind of reddy / purpley colour.

But the cut - I thought, maybe I might try the sort of bob that on one side ends at just under my ear lobe and the other side ends about 6 inches from my ear lobe.

What do you reckon?

Fimbo - yeah but it wouldn't be over my face that's just done for the picture, but that kind of thing, but I'd want to see where I was going!

Tell your hairdresser your ideas/show her your pic and let her/him come up with something.

I did that last week and like what my stylist did

I can't do it, I might end up looking mad, can't risk it.
Tattoo it is then.
That a a less subtle hair colour.

Oh dear god - no no no no tattoo either.

SSSandy2 · 15/07/2008 21:55

oh mmj close up of bad teeth - not good. What were they thinking of?

I think an asymmetrical bob could be good, not quite so drastic a difference in length on each side, but then it has to be enough to look intentional, not just wonky cutting IYSWIM. But you know I think your hair suits you the way it is, looks great. Leave it ... leave it...

We are showing our age here girls, don't you think?

I was a little concerned that there would be tumbleweed when I posted the pic, but it's nice to see we're all of a generation!

Shitemum · 15/07/2008 21:57

I think you have enough style to carry it off and if you don't like it it'll be easy enough to fix.

hey yooooooou!

you know what i'd say and it's yeah baby ALL THE WAY!

your hair is gorgeous..shiny and lush etc but i know what you mean about getting bored.

even if it was asymetric for a while, it wouldnt take long for it to grow enough to rebalance it.

recently i had one side longer than the other(as usual) AND a wonky fringe. for the record that DID NOT work!

I had this once - it was GREAT.

I loved people looking at it with their heads on one sides trying to work out if it was supposed to be asymetric.

Did need cutting a lot though. V unforgiving.

Do it!
