Anyone advise how to removed stubborn silk wraps from nails?

Have tried acetone. Not working.

file them down until tehy're close to the nail surface then try acetone/nail varnish remover again.

tried file,scissors, picking.

am blardy doomed to leftover bits of silk glued to my fingers forevvvvvvvver.
