Where in London west end has a good selection of Pashminas?

Style hazard though it might be, I still wish to buy a pashmina. Can anyone point me to a store with a decent selection? I would like to see the colours, so online is not really suitable. Could buy it in the west-end, but do not want to go to more than one store. I'd like stole size in a good quality priced upto about 80.

Where to? Please.

Liberty. Although they might be more than £80. Fenwicks maybe

I love my pashminas, And I'm not a style casualty

you could try going up great portland street from oxford st (east of circus), go up as far as junction with mortimer street and there always used to be a place there - trade place (open to public though). Hundreds of colours. Loads of rag trade round there and often sell direct - may get more for your £!

john lewis, loads of colours, mine was about £80

was going to post the same place popmum mentions. Just before the Mortiport cafe on the left hand side of Gt Portland St as you go up it. It's still there and is pashmina central as far as I can see.

It's wholesale as popmum says, but open to public so v good range and should be better value.

ahh yes next to mortiport! Yum. Used to have a chicken escalope, lettuce, mayo in ciabatta + diet coke there many a time!!

Great, perhaps I'll have lunch at the same time! Do you think it will be open on a Saturday?

Fenwicks is a good fall-back option.

Can anybody recommend washing pashminas at home or do they always have to be sent to the dry cleaners (pricey)?

popmum · 08/07/2008 20:35

unlikely but not sure. sadly the cafe - mortiport i think would be closed on sat. You could always have lunch in The Cock down the road!! ha ha
