My DH has bought me this dress for our DS christening in August, have had a quick look for some shoes but not sure which style to get..... I live in heels and the price needs not to go over £50, although if they are stunning I would blow the budget!!!

Congratulations on the dress it is gorgeous. It looks very expensive and therefore needs shoes of the same quality - something in leather.

Imho those white ones would look wrong with the dress. It needs what dh and I call "lady shoes". I found some more bargainous shoes in black that may go. Will link in a minute.

Yes Flier the spots are purple, dark beige and black. Although the black isn't really that dark iykwim.

Fimbo you have great taste!! Again though they don't have my size, bloody common old sixes!! Am going into Bath this week though so I will see if they have them instore!!

Have just bought same dress! (see 'fatty' thread) Havent found any shoes in the same shade of purple, am debating going for these but not sure if too bridal. But I can walk in them which is unusual for high heels!

Ivory rather than white goes well, there are also a few pairs around which go well with the bronzey coloured spots, but can't remember where I saw them (our local shops are Barratts, debenhams, new look and office so must have been in one of them)

Next have some nice purple shoes in their new catalogue
don't know how they'll look
