On the basis that every single dimple and bit of cellulite shows through with white linen trousers, then I'd wear nude coloured knee length control pants!

I walked, fascinated, up the stairs at a station the other day, behind a women who was wearing a green-trimmed thong (or, as DD1 once called them aged four, 'fangs') under her white linen trousers.

My answer is: don't wear WLT. White linen trousers are basically see through

(though possibly if you are wearing a longish tunic a la Jemima Khan you may be permitted to wear them).
